My Rock

This is the rock I picked up in the mountain by the lake shore. It looks similar to the rock I left at Aeneas peak but is different. The one from Aeneas peak has sharp corners and edges. But this one has been washed by the lake water for many years, and has been polished to a smooth and shiny one with rounded corners.
This rock with its original sharp corners and edges which represent my sins that fall short of glory of God (Romans 3:23). 21 years ago, by accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior and my Lord, my sin has been forgiven and washed away. I have been polished by the Holy Spirit through many life experiences. Those sharp corners and edges have been cut off and smoothed out. God's hands worked on me according His will to be a useful vessel for His Kingdom.
This rock looks like a stepping stone. Jesus Christ is the corner stone in God's Kingdom. And God calls me to be a stepping stone to serve humbly in my my family, church, community, and workplace, so that other believers can climb up in their spiritual journey.
This rock also look like an alter that reminds me to present my body as a living sacrifice everyday. In Romans 12:1, Apostle Paul says: "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship."
Praise God for His mercy and grace that I become a chosen one, holy and beloved in His Kingdom.
